Bayer CropScience recently received registration from the Environmental Protection Agency for Proline 480 SC fungicide for use on soybeans, according to a company report.

Company officials say Proline controls Asian soybean rust and powdery mildew, and also may be used in a tank mix with Stratego fungicide to provide control of a wide range of diseases.

“The combination of Proline and Stratego gives both preventive and curative activity,” says Jim Bloomberg, Bayer CropScience fungicide product development manager. “Utilizing these strong chemistries with two modes of action means broad spectrum control.”
Proline may be applied with either ground or aerial application equipment.

Proline is not registered in all states. Company officials say growers should contact their local Bayer sales representatives for the availability of Proline in their area.
